I cannot appreciate the "cyclop eye" on watches

I only have one watch with a "cyclop eye", the vintage Rolex Datejust. I realised why there are a lot of people that cannot appreciate this thing. Because it magnifies, when the minute and hour hands passed through it, it distorts the hands and many times I got confused when trying to quickly refer to the watch. It takes some time to realise it.
